By air:
The international airports of Florence "Amerigo Vespucci" (4 km from the city center) and of Pisa "Galileo Galilei" (80 km from Florence) provide direct daily connections with major European cities as well as with the Italian airports of Rome and Milan.
A shuttle bus from Florence Airport to the Central Railway Station Santa Maria Novella runs every 30 minutes (15 minutes ride). Tickets available on board. Hourly shuttle trains (about 50 minute ride) connect Pisa Airport to Central Railway Station Santa Maria Novella.

By trains:
Eurocity trains and sleeping cars provide convenient connections from all major cities of Europe. Intercity trains also connect Florence to Rome and Milan and run every hour and the shortest travel times are 2 and 3 hours respectively.

Access to Florence is easy by different highways, but parking facilities downtown are limited and expensive.

The Venue

NOMS 2002 will be held at the Florence Congress Center, which includes the late nineteenth century Palazzo dei Congressi and the modern building Palazzo degli Affari.

The Congress Center is located within 5 minute walk from the main Railway Station Santa Maria Novella, the medieval center of the city and the main hotels.

Internet cafè
A room on the Second Floor of the Centro Affari will be equipped with sockets to connect portable PCs to the phone line. PCs connected to Internet will also be available.
