Depart by coach for a brief excursion to Fiesole, a delightful
town of Etruscan origin located on the hills surroundings

center of Florence for a visit to the Franciscan church of
Santa Croce, where it is possible to admire the tombs of Michelangelo,

17 April 2002 - Full day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano
An extremely interesting excursion through the countryside
of the Chianti area among delightful hills, with ever-changing
scenery of vineyards and olive trees. A visit to San Gimignano,
a tiny city that has remained intact through the centuries;
it is situated on top of a hill and is famous for its numerous
towers, frescoes and other treasures. On arrival in Siena,
have lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant and visit the magnificent
medieval center where it is possible to admire the Cathedral,
the Piazza del Campo, the Town Hall and San Domenico, with
its numerous treasures of Italian paintings. On the way back,
admire the old medieval village of Monteriggioni enclosed

18 April 2002 - Full day excursion to Pisa and Lucca
An interesting excursion to the historic city of Pisa, famous
for its architectural magnificence. A panoramic view of the
beautiful riverside, then a guided visit of the Piazza dei
Cavalieri, where the Scuola Normale, one of the most famous
universities in the world, is located. Then Piazza dei Miracoli
with its celebrated Leaning Tower, the Cathedral (visit inside),
a masterpiece of Romanesque art built between the 11th and
12th centuries, the Baptistry and other important monuments.
The excursion will continue to Lucca, a fine example of a
medieval village -- the 16th century walls, the Church of
S. Frediano, the Cathedral of S. Martino, the Church of S.
Michele, Piazza Anfiteatro with its Roman Amphitheatre. Visit
the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini, composer of opera - Turandot,
La Boheme, and Tosca. Lunch in a typical local restaurant
